Job Title: PET/CT Technologist Job Specialty: PET/CT - Eureka Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: 1-2 years of PET/PET CT imaging experience License: State license as applicable Certifications: Certification in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT(RT-N)), CPR certification Must-Have: Dual certification as a Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT)) Job Description: - Use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and ease. - Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and adherence to radiation safety regulations. - Produce high-quality diagnostic images to enable accurate diagnosis and confident treatment by physicians. - Effectively interpret physician orders and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters. - Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators. - Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (including monitors and PACS). - Demonstrate flexibility to work in various environments, including outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities. - Ensure proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients. - Local travel may be required.
