- The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe
patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation.
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family
teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while
maintaining standards of professional nursing care in
Telemetry.
- The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable
for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency
Department.
- He / She communicates with the physician about the changes in
the patient's clinical condition including results of the
diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in
the condition and/or response to treatment.
- Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of
child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social
Worker.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

- American Heart Association or Red Cross

- Primary Source Verification of professional license, and/or
certification, as required for the position. Ran within 30 days of
start. Updated upon expiration.
- Proof of 2 Vaccines or Positive Titer showing immunity
- Annual Respirator fit test. Locations that allow onsite
testing: NJ - Saint Michael's Medical Center, NJ-Saint Mary's
Hospital (Mask Accepted: 3M 9205+), CA-West Anaheim Medical Center,
CA-Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center.
- Flu Vaccine or declination required October1-May 31.
- All travelers must have valid documentation of receiving a Tdap
vaccine as an adult.
- Within 60 days of start. *CA Locations ONLY*. As of 1/01/24
California law permits the testing for marijuana psychoactive
metabolites only by saliva. All drug screens will be required to
have two components for onboarding at all CA Prime facilities.
- National Criminal Background Check within one year of start
date.
- Completed after all other credentials are uploaded and with
most up to date information.
