Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU), Neurology ICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shift, 7:00 PM start time Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 5 years of acute critical care experience License: Current CA RN license Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Level II trauma critical care experience Job Description: - Work in a Level II trauma NT/SICU unit with a 12-bed capacity and a 2:1 patient-care ratio. - Specialize in caring for neuro/trauma patients, including handling ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains. - Be prepared to float to various units such as Cardiovascular Unit, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/CCU, or Med Surg units as needed. - Provide quality care to neuro/trauma patients in a critical care setting. - Ensure compliance with all current nursing and trauma protocols. - Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient care. - Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system. - Commit to providing coverage during holiday periods as required. - Ensure all patient care activities are consistent with legal and professional standards. - Be adaptable to various unit environments and patient needs as the situation demands.
