• American Heart Association certifications only.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS - Basic Life Support
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• IV Certification (LVN/LPN)
• Fire Card is not required at Shasta Regional Medical Center.
• MAB - Management of Assaultive Behavior is required for ER and Psych
• Sonographer - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certificate
  • Job Details
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
  • Accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
  • Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
  • Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
