The Assistant Nursing Director of Skilled Nursing will directly report to and work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing. The Assistant Director will oversee the Nursing managers and assist with the day to day operations of the department. The Assistant Director of Skilled Nursing must be available to provide clinical instruction and leadership to their staff in any pressing issue that may come up within the department. With over 35-beds, the skilled nursing department utilizes many clinical programs including physical therapy and short term rehabilitation to offer its patients top notch care. The Assistant Nursing Director of Skilled Nursing will be a vital asset to the team and to leadership to ensure the department maintains a high level of care as well as adheres to facility and national safety guidelines. The Assistant Nursing Director of Skilled Nursing will be provided updates on clinical procedures and practices being administered by their team, and should be prepared to offer guidance and training when the need arises. The Assistant Nursing Director of Skilled Nursing will assist the Director with the overall supervision and operation of the department. The Assistant Director will collaborate with both the Director and Nursing Managers on day to day activities of the staff and will oversee the training and development of all staff members. The Assistant Nursing Director of Skilled Nursing will assist as needed with the budget of the department as well as performance reviews of staff to ensure constant growth and development continues the nursing team.
